The Membership of Jane Doe Inc.

Currently, nearly 60 community-based sexual assault and domestic violence service and advocacy programs in Massachusetts comprise the membership of Jane Doe Inc. This list keeps growing as more organizations adopt the Core Values of the Coalition and join our efforts to build the strongest statewide network of individuals and organizations committed to ending domestic violence and sexual assault.

These independent non-profit organizations deliver comprehensive services to over 100,000 women, men and children every year, in every community across the Commonwealth. Crisis hotlines, emergency shelter, safe homes, legal and medical advocacy, educational and support groups, counseling, advocacy, safety planning, children's advocacy, economic development programs and transitional housing are just some examples of services available. Community education is also offered on an array of topics including sexual assault, teen dating violence, and the role of men in ending violence.

The member organizations of Jane Doe Inc. offer a lifeline to survivors of violence and their families. Each member organization relies heavily on the contribution of financial and volunteer resources to ensure that services are available to survivors for both immediate needs and longer term healing. While the Coalition assists its membership by providing technical assistance and training, supporting the development of new programs, serving as a statewide clearinghouse and coordinating organization around budget and policy advocacy, awareness and research, JDI does not provide any funding directly to its member organizations.

In JDI's monthly e-newsletters, member programs will recognized for their achievements, events and accomplishments periodically. Currently the following programs are being featured:

  1. Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP)
  2. South Shore Women's Resource Center
