Policy and Systems AdvocacyPolicy advocacy involves influencing individuals and organizations directly in the process of public policy-making. By voicing our opinions, communicating with elected officials, advocating for legislation, working with government agencies and organizing in communities, the public helps shape the very rules by which we, our family and our community are governed. Guided by our mission, Jane Doe Inc.’s public policy advocacy efforts aim to educate and raise awareness about sexual assault and domestic violence and to develop and enhance sexual assault and domestic violence prevention and intervention. As the statewide coordinating body for its Membership, Jane Doe Inc. actively engages in the legislative, judicial, and administrative arenas to enhance the safety, liberty, and dignity of all survivors by amplifying their voices and the voices of those who serve them.
