Jane
Doe Inc.'s Legislative Agenda
Jane Doe Inc.’s Legislative Agenda reflects the broad concerns
and needs of victims and survivors of sexual and domestic violence and
their families. As the statewide coalition, JDI works closely with state
and federal legislators and other elected officials to both initiate and
respond to legislative proposals. Each year we review thousands of bills
that are filed to help us identify those that deserve our support or those
that threaten to set back the tremendous progress we have made over the
years. Our priorities are informed by our members as well as survivors
and their families and friends.
The strength of our advocacy depends on you! We invite
you to support and join the grassroots efforts of survivors, our members,
and their network of local supporters. This page will be updated throughout
the legislative session, so please check back for action alerts. In the
few minutes it takes to make a call or send an email, you can help change
the outcome on behalf of survivors and all of us.
