First Lady of the Commonwealth Diane B. Patrick to receive JDI's Kelly Timilty Advocate for Justice Award
May 07, 2014
On Thursday, May 8, 2014, Jane Doe Inc. will present the Kelly Timilty Advocate for Justice Award to First Lady of the Commonwealth Diane B. Patrick. Mrs. Patrick has been an outstanding advocate in the Commonwealth's ongoing efforts to promote safety, healing and justice for all survivor and victims of sexual and domestic violence. Her leadership on this issue has made a difference in so many lives.
From the minute she decided to share her own story as a survivor of domestic violence, Mrs. Patrick personified the movement to end all forms of abuse. She has traveled around the state, meeting survivors, speaking with advocates, educators and business leaders, and spreading the message of hope and prevention.
The award presentation will take place at JDI’s annual “It’s Your Business Breakfast”hosted by the Timilty Family at the Alogonquin Club, 217 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston. Doors open at 8:00 AM; program runs from 8:30 AM – 9:15 AM. Media welcome.
